Hard to say, but I suspect it's an older one. At $400, either way it's a good deal.

Based on the TRC, I'm pretty sure it's a more recent one (Chinese built). $400 for a "brand name" set neck with some upgrades and hsc seems pretty decent though. .

I agree with StevieMac - This looks like a newer one out of China or Korea
The old ones out of Japan are next level good guitars and this would be a monster deal if it was one of those

It's Chinese made but might be ok with the new pickup installed.

It's definitely a newer one but probably still a good guitar for the $. Especially with the burstbucker installed.
I have an early 80's Burny RLC-60 and it's an amazing guitar. The older ones from the 80s had the "split diamond" headstock inlay just like the real Gibson Les Paul Customs had, and still have. Later they switched to more of a lightning bolt look. I'm guessing it was to avoid copyright issues.
I've never come across one like this with no headstock inlay, and LP Custom cosmetics otherwise. But I don't really know much about the company from the late 90's onward.

found an old vid of the early 80s burny. just greasy...I loved it.

ignore the wanking - it was a functionality test for the sale, iirc.
