I was warned about this guy. Can't help but feel badly for him but more so for his kids. Guy was a righteous prick who really had a shitty life. Good movie to use to steer your kids aways from drugs.

It is an entertaining watch though--and some cool music along the way--but some very sad stuff...

Drugs are not your friends...

Worth the watch though.

And how many documentaries start with the subject punching the interviewer...

I watched it several months ago, and laughed a lot. Anyone who would try to be involved with him, business or personal, has to be as crazy as he is. Bitter opinionated old man, who's strewn a lot of wreckage in his wake.

as a youngster, I always thought he was a scary looking guy....I read his bio a few years ago and then watched the doc. He is the classic tale of self destruction. His bio is worth reading and provides more background on his move to Africa after Cream, touring with bands, and many of his dysfunctional relationships.

A family member saw him live in the early 70's and he was a machine on the drums. Played for 3 hours and apparently a mind blowing concert.
