I have a couple of these and I have installed them on pedals that sit on the upper row of a pedalboard. With the enlarged button covering the footswitch, there is less chance of accidentally kicking or touching the lower row pedal's knobs. Probably not a big deal for most players, but it makes the occasional pedalboard tap-dancing a bit less stressful.
One thing I don't like about the Barefoot Buttons, is that it could block the status light that is built too close to the footswitch. It could be a problem on pedals with a dimmed LED status light.
