Has anyone here lost interest in it and sold off your recording gear? I'm finding I'm really not enjoying it anymore. I guess if I do get out of it, I can always buy things later if I want to start again.
I go through fits and starts. I rarely let go of mics, as they tend not to date, but interfaces are improving all the time. I’m looking at expanding from 8 inputs to 16 via ADAT soon.
If I decided to drop it, I’d sell the interface, but keeps mics and cabling.
It’s cyclical in nature for me. I also find that it can easily take you away from the musical creative
Side of music. Push you to the engineering side of music.
I often don't record anything for a while--then a bunch in a short time--it's called life--and mine requires I spend time on other things at times
But I am not getting rid of my recording stuff...
Sold all my reel-to-reel gear many years ago and didn't record a note on my own until the digital age, though I'd done some with bands. Now I'm addicted to garageband.
