Anyone have any first or secondhand experience with these?

I'm pondering picking up one of the Roland AIRA modules, likely the Torcido, since Steve's has them on sale for a decent price. What's particularly appealing is the free iOS/Android app that lets one do virtual patching of up to 6 additional modules (out of a menu of 31 currently available) and work the physical module like it was part of a much larger analog modular system.

All of those fine points aside, there is usually a difference between the ad copy and demo videos, and reality. So I was wondering if anyone had any experience they might relate.
