Hi guys,

I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on what kind of new or used practice amp I could pick up for $100 or less.

Looking for anything between 5 to 30 watts max.

peavey rage 158, my friend! solid, you can get some good tones out of one, and they're like $60 or so used i believe. maybe a bit more if its a newer model.

Yeah, Peavey x 158's are generally good for under $100 used... just above $100 new. X = any model, I've got a Blazer 158 and it was fantastic for when I was starting out.

I'm selling a VOX DA-5 amp for $100 plus shipping. Basically new in box and a very cool practice amp.

Check the classifieds section for info.

Well I took your suggestions, (thanks by the way), and went looking last night. I finally settled on a Behringer V-Tone GM108 modelling combo. I'm really impressed by it!

I've got a Line 6 Spider combo that works very well for me but I wanted a smaller, portable combo to take back and forth to work. At some point I think I may want to change out the speaker as it sounds a little muffled on certain settings but all in all I'd give it an 8 out of 10.
