You guys know the drill; get to L&M early because there just might be something. Well there were several items to choose from. I can no longer just buy everything that sparks my guitar senses. No space, low cash that is earmarked for other necessities.
I finally got that $25 hard shell case for my 2013 Gibson SG 50's Tribute. I think being a regular pays off sometimes.
There was a beauty USA Ovation VXTSB for $450 with no flaws and a beauty 2012 MIM Standard Telecaster in awesome condition, beauty neck, and solid appearing top and back. Set up was to my liking, and I have liked me some very nice American Telecasters in my 50 years of playing. It was $210. These are $800 CDN these days if you buy new..
I have the parts to make a partscaster Tele, but this MIM is a beauty that already plays and sounds good. I have AVN48 Kinmans, SCN pups with S1 hardware, and a custom shop bridge pup. I also really like Nashville Teles, so maybe add a Kinman Strat pup to the Kinmans, with a 5 way switch, no load tone control.
The Tele was the choice and what I know will be enjoyed the most. Also, it may be the best resale value.
