TVOntario is showing the documentary "Amy" at the moment (still 45 minutes to go). Apart from the downward personal spiral , I was unaware what a terrific rhythm guitarist she was. Some of the footage of her early days, before she had a big band, has her playing solo, and doing great chord patterns and changes. She could have played sessions with Steely Dan. She was that good, and that knowledgeable. Damn shame.

Her playing and chord progressions impressed me also.

..and Yes...What a tragic shame.
