i replaced the stock single coil in my aerodyne tele with a cheap-ass gfs 10k lil puncher dual-blade humbucker. so far i like it - makes this beast roar. further down the road i'll put a real ($$$) joe barden in there, now that he's back in business:

as well, i may replace the p90 style neck pickup with a mini-humbucker.

two questions:

1. obviously, i will have to replace the 250k volume pot with a 500k.

is this (the 250k pot) a long bushing pot similar to a les paul, meaning without a standard tele control plate, the thickness of the wood might dictate a long length pot?

2. will a standard mini-humbucker fit into the p90 cavity easily, or will there be issues?

Well only if you find it too dark now and you want to brighten things up.

...its more of case of matching this tele to my other, single-coil equipped guitars, so that i don't have to complete re-set my entire rig everytime i switch guitars mid-performance.
