After the scalpers got most of the tickets and reselling them at huge profits, one wonders who is going to benefit the most from the Benefit Concert. As is often the case, greed comes to the fore. In this case, it is even more disgusting.

IMO, that's on the dickwads at Ticketmaster. Hate that outfit. They've done squat to take care of this problem that's been going on since the 80's at least.

Not sure if you are aware but Ticketmaster doesn't put on concerts or decide how tickets are distributed. It's up to whomever is putting on the show. If the promoter wants to make the show box office pickup only and the id must match the name on the account they can or if they don't want to do anything special to curtail resale for a particular event that is not Ticketmaster's decision. Ticketmaster has lots of tools to stop resale like having to swipe the credit card used to buy tickets to get into the show but they can't force anyone to use them.

ie you're blaming the wrong business.
