Hi there , I have been a guitar player for Dan near half a century. In 2014 I suffered a massive stroke that paralyzed the left half of my body and took from me the use of my arm and hand, making the guitar a dream only
While in hospital a local musician heard my story and invited me to take part in a group learning the celtic harp. I do so with the right hand only and have had to learn to compensate rather frantically. I am recently practicing with an alto Chapman stick and my right hand is beginning to share my creative voice once more.

Welcome to the forum Phil , it`s a drag that you had the set backs you have had . It`s great that you power on , and music is back with you . I have been playing for 54 years and about ten years ago I had a pinched nerve in my left arm . I couldn't play for a time but eventually my strength returned . The only therapy I did was ,to keep trying to play and I was fortunate . For that relatively short time I could only imagine what you have been through . Your a great inspiration to us all . Celtic music is cool . Enjoy

Welcome ! Congratulation for your efforts and achievements ! Glad to read the music is still with you.
I once thought how a nightmare it would be just to accept the idea, should I ever become unable to play guitar anymore.
