2023 GAS Wish List

Yes the economy looks gloomy, interest rates and fuel prices are going up. And you're going to buy a guitar in 2023. What's it going to be, and why?
(It goes without saying it will make you play better, no matter what it is, and probably make you better looking too)

2023 PRS SE DGT.

Cause, I cant afford the other one, and always wanted to try it.

Oh, and another guitar will make you sexier.

My GAS goal for 2023 is zero guitars. That is the plan and so help me God I hope to fail.

Now amplifiers on the other hand, that's a different beast all together.

I’d like to not sell anything other than what I have listed. As for purchases, just hardware.

No specific plans except some pickup swaps, but I won't rule out anything. Given my declining fortunes, I'll probably have to sell stuff to buy stuff.

Nothing. In fact, in 2023 I'll probably reduce from 3 to 2 guitars only.
There's a few guitars though I might get my hands on, because they really got my interest and I want to give it try like a Novo Miris, or the new 59' CS tele I posted about already.
But nothing I really want or gas for. I already have the one I really want the rest is more curiosity.

I'm pretty much done for guitars for a while. What I would like in 2023 is a Kemper powered and remote bundle. But it might not happen till 2024. From here until May 2024 I'm working on reducing my mortgage as much as possible. Currently sitting at 2% until May 2024. Since its likely my rate may triple and I want to have as much paid as I can. So likely I'll be investing in the Kemper in 2024.

I plan to let a couple go, but am not really thinking of new purchases. Of course, stuff happens.

Am currently in reassess & purge & rebuild mode with gear (and home). At the same time am seriously hurtin' since returning my bro's blonde Yamaha hollowbody (exactly this).

This guitar has me gassing:
Eastman T49d/v
... I'd just drop a set of Manlius humbuckers in, and maybe replace the ebony saddles with metal.

We'll see how the saga unfolds ...

Hoping to have enough in the gear fund to put together another parts build. Mahogany Jazzmaster with HSS setup, medium V rosewood board neck. Hoping to keep the price less than $800-$900 all in. The constant pursuit of creating my #1 guitar. Amps and pedals I'm good

No current plans to buy anything, I've been trying to pare it down a bit (sold 4, bought 2 this year) going to try to stay on that track. Probably take yet another crack at trying to love a Gibson LOL

Are we talking guitars only or gear?
Well this is the Electric Guitar forum, but fire away.
No immediate plans, but may pickup an Explorer or maybe a firebird if I can find one for a good price next year.

Ive been selling, well trying to sell like crazy, I want to get down to about 12 guitars. Seems they are easier to trade than sell, but I sold 10 or so cheaper ones last year. I do want one of those Limited Edition 1959 Les Paul Standard Epiphone or the Epiphone lazarus.
The last trade I was offered was an interesting one: He wants my Mint AS103 Artcore( too heavy and the neck is really fussy for me for some reason) for his well maintained Sterling jp100d, we have not gotten together yet to try. I Only trade for guitars I think I might keep now, this one is so outside what I own I might keep it!

I have a dozen Superstrats and [almost] nothing justify getting another guitar BUT I fixed a friend's SG and after fixing the electronic, I played it for a few hours and went from it's an ugly guitar i don't care about to god this thing plays well and definitely has something garag-y and aggressive like I love. I love the width of the neck and the radius. So 2023 would be to find a nice SG standard, black. The one I tried was a 2005 with stock pickups.

I’m hoping to find an SG that I like. I’ve been trying to love SG’s but just haven’t found “the one”. I’d also like to try a Murphy Lab Les Paul, but I’ll have to sell a guitar or two to make that happen. Lastly, I’d like to get a Korina replica, just not sure yet on wether I want a V or an Explorer.
