Well they are back on different weekends
I had seen the Calgary Show as Sept 21 & Edmonton as Sept 22.
Now Edmonton is still Sept 22 & Calgary is Sept 29
With Edmonton still at the Italian Cultural Centre & the Calgary one at a new location-its fourth.
The Red & White Club
They say this venue will allow them to do more demos & clinics & the flea market
So that should be cool
And maybe this will resurrect a plan to attend in both cities.
We'll see.

Calgary & Edmonton Guitar Shows

Regina & Saskatoon shows still TBA

I would like to get up to Edmonton to check it out--but it's not possible this year.
Maybe next year.
But I do plan to show up for the Calgary show--and maybe bring some stuff for the flea market.

How does the flea market work? You just leave your gear on a table while you walk around the show? Are people pretty respectful? Looking to go to Calgary show tomorrow.

Will I see anybody there tomorrow? (Sunday)
Maybe--and except for one or two members here, I probably won't recognize you (or you me)

I might try to go, weather permitting. I’ll be the guy in the T shirt.
I think I saw you, but you were across the room.

I didn't see this before I went--and I did stop at all the booths/tables--and did talk with somebody at the Gilmore booth.
Some cool stuff there.

I forgot to take any pictures--anybody else do so?

The new venue was great size wise---although for the clinics/demos a separate room would have been nicer--or at least some sort of dividers would have been good.
but I did like that they had so many--it added to the show.
Some cool gear, and talked with some people from past shows & others I knew.

I also forgot to mention that at one booth -out of the corner of my eye I saw a headstock that looked familiar--it was a bass that is the same model as my first bass--down to the last detail.
But in better shape.
It was eerie in a way, but also cool.
A friend who showed up later also saw it & had to show it to me.
While there was some temptation to buy my bass' twin, in reality I don't really need two identical basses.

but it was cool.

I had a good time. Busy place!
But larger venue--so less crowded than previous years.
And busy place is a good thing in this case.
