This is a lovely D-18 I recently acquired in a trade, but something is coming in and I need to offset it. It's got a lovely, tight-grained Sitka top with some nice silking in it. Beautiful mahogany back and sides and it's in great shape. Sounds wonderfully big and loud, with that great mahogany D-18 bark to it. I wanted to get one for a while, but the long scale and fattish neck don't quite do it for me. 2016 was the 100th Anniversary of the Dreadnought, so it has that stamped on the neck block.
The specs:
You can read the full details on Martin's website here: D-18 | Standard Series | Martin Guitar
Action is about 5/64 and 4/64 (2 mm and 1.6 mm) at the 12th fret
Condition:
It's in excellent shape overall and currently sporting a set of D'Addario XS 12-53 Phosphor Bronze, although it sounds great with 13s on it, too (how it came to me). I can't find any notable dings, although there are a couple of hazy spots on the back from a little bit of playwear, I'm guessing. It used to have a pickup and the endpin jack remains, but the cable and undersaddle part was removed before I got it, so not included. I swapped the bridge pins for ebony ones from Martin, but the originals are included. There is the beginning of the slightest kisses in the cowboy frets, but nothing to worry about yet.
FAQ:
1) DO YOU WANT TO TRADE FOR MY GUITAR/AMP/PEDAL?
I am not interested in any trades at this time.
2) CAN YOU SHIP TO ME?
Local sales are strongly preferred and I will hold out for them if possible. If you want me to ship, I will do so at your cost with insurance (whatever Canada Post or another shipper of your choice charges). My postal code is M4S 1C5 and you can get an idea of what it would cost to ship a guitar in a box to you from Canada Post's website or another service.
Keep in mind, shipping times may vary.
3) HEY WHERE ARE YOU?
I'm in Midtown Toronto and fairly easy to reach from the 401. GTA Driving distance meetups are good with me. Hit me up and we can make an arrangement.
