Way back in 1990/1991 I had a 1969 stratocaster stolen from me while I was working in Saint John, NewBruswick. The finish had been stripped to natural ( NOT BY ME ) and I think a change of pick guard, although not sure. Every thing else there though was proper including pups and tuners. Most importantly the serial number is/was " 266247 ". The guitar was taken from the Blanchard apartment complex on Carmarthen street ( I did not know any better at the time ) along with one of those nice sounding yamaha 212 amps from the late 80's. Well that about says it all except that I still get the urge to rip every 69 strat I see out of it's owners hands to check the serial number. Have a good one... Rick

69 strat

I know how you must feel. I had purchased in '70 and got ripped off in 2001 at a gig. It was like loosing an old friend! Aesop
