Went under the hood of a '64 yesterday. Buffing compound still hanging about, original wiring, pots etc. Always fascinated by body markings, who signed off on what and that kind of thing. Never seen this initial before. My first thought was it would be cool if it was Abigail.

Everything I have read and seen shows her signature on the pickup. Abby and a date

Btw, switching gears slightly… I’ve found that the full aluminum shield really cuts the noise and hum down over the typical shielding of the control area only. Fender makes them… and I find they are worth every penny… although they ain’t cheap!
And on pickups… “Abby” means she made it. And “A.Y.” Means her TEAM made it.

I have about 20 full shields sitting in my house. Cheap but hard to ship
