Any thought on this bass?

Not a bass player, just came across this ebay listing and looks pretty interesting

Is this a fair deal for $US700+ $60shipping ~ $800CAD (not including custom fees & tax)?

I wouldn't touch it. Unfortunately parts basses, no matter how good the parts don't seem to hold any value. I also really don't like the 'professional' job on the back of the neck.

Some people might want that bass but me personally I like buying all original. I wouldn' t buy a modified bass.

Tanqueray is gaining a good rep
it looks good and a cool colour, but as mentioned earlier it will have no resale value. If you could get it for 300-400 it might be worth it

I digg that color as well but I'll probably spend $100 on a used starter bass.
Ya, it's only sold for a fraction of its cost. I guess you'd buy it if you don't plan to sell it.
