This amp is absolutely incredible...the piano like tones out of my strat is magical. I cannot see why anyone would ever want to part with one of these. I have the stock speaker in there, looking forward to upgrading it to a 10".

Anyway, I don't know how many responses I will get out of this one but if any of you own a vintage hand wired champ/vibro champ, you must speak up. Word about this little amp does not get around to much but when you plug her in, my first impression is "I cannnot believe this tone is coming from this amp!"

Anyone looking for a great recording amp/bedroom player and is seeking "Tone", a vintage Champ is it!

Well I got a new Blues Junior Amp last weekend, and noticed that it's making a loud grounding hum type noise, when I have my telecaster plugged in. The noise goes away when I touch anything metal on the guitar. I tried plugging in a different guitar with humbuckers, and it does the same thing, but it's not as loud. I plugged the amp in to a different receptacle (per peoples suggestions in other posts I've read) in a different part of the house and same thing. I tried a different patch cord and same thing. I then plugged my Vox vt30 amp in with the telecaster and the same thing was happening. I plugged in one of those small receptacle testers into the receptacle and it shows that it's wired correctly, so now I don't know what's going on.

Any help to fix this problem would be appreciated.

Quote:
"How is that Nova Drive anyway? Looks wicked but how does it sound?"

It sounds great!

The flexibility is astonishing. Three different switching modes - Normal, Toggle, Preset.

Normal is exactly that. You can have the O/D on, or the Distortion, or both.

Toggle lets you have either bypass, O/D or Distortion, and the switches let you jump from O/D to Distortion.

Preset lets you select one of 9 banks; the switches toggle between the presets. Add a G switch, and the pedal switches become the bank selectors, and the G switch lets you toggle the presets. You can also use MIDI to select the presets.

This is an analog pedal with digital controls, so anything you dial up can be saved and recalled. It does not use digital modeling.

The O/D side of the pedal lets you call up anything from a clean sound that to my ears fattens up my sound without any dirt all the way up to a fairly dirty O/D. You can also blend the direct sound and O/D in any ratio you want.

The routing is really cool. You can set the O/D before the Distortion, or vice versa, OR...and this is pretty cool - you can run them in parallel. It's actually possible to blend clean, O/D and Distortion together - almost like running three different amp sounds at the same time.

I'm still messing around with the possibilities, but so far this pedal has done everything I've asked it to, and is capable of a lot more.
Sorry for the crappy pics.
There is also one picture missing that shows a serial number that starts with a T I think stamped on top of the head.

I've had a hard time finding infos on this guitar.
The only thing I know is that it is really similar to a 1930's National Trojan.
Really really close to the national.

Anyone knows something I don't ?

Thanks a lot

Hey guys,

Got a line on a Gibson SG from the early '70s in pieces. Appears to be an 'SG Deluxe,' with block inlays, the Bigsby, and the top-mounted electronics. Has had a very serious neck break, that's been poorly repaired, and it may be missing the Bigsby (the guy's looking for it.) Parts seem to be everywhere--it's been stripped.

I need an SG for my new band, and was thinking of offering this guy $300 without the Bigsby, $400 with, for the guitar so I could repair and refinish the neck, and have a guitar to gig with. Do you think that's reasonable?

Sounds great, just getting something a little bit smaller. Never had any issues with it and it's in mint shape, spent its life in a roadcase which I have already sold.

Looks exactly like the one in the picture, any questions feel free to email me. Pickup in Brantford or London, or I can deliver elsewhere for gas money. You know how great these amps sound, Marshall's been around for decades and there's a reason for it.

$1000 or best offer.
It was cool to see them play, and at one point during the opening act Mascis came in the audience and was standing right next to me.. no one seemed to notice since he was bundled up in toque and jacket.. I decided not to be the one that bugs him for a picture.. Wish I had now.
