I'm concerned about the material decaying and the neck distorting because of the tension on it.

I'll be honest, I'm new to this so I was looking for some opinions. There is store in Ottawa that sells them, and I am curious.

Interesting. Might make a nice novelty item. I don't like the relief on the front of some fo the body styles though. The only one I like at all is the Stealth Innovo, and even that's an H-S-H which I don't particularly like. If there was a H-H pickup option I'd be more interested.

I would like to see some background info on the construction & durability though...and the tonal characteristics of course.

Switch guitars are made of Vibracell, a man-made material that is formed, much like a boat's hull, under intense pressure to very precise tolerances.

They look great, feel great, and most importantly, sound great. Their sustain
is massive because of the density of the material.

With the added bonus of Grover machines, Wilkinson trems, and EMG Select pups on some models, the Switch is hard to beat at that price.
And, because no wood is used (or more importantly - no cheap wood) the Switch is an environmentally freindly instrument!

As far as decay or neck warping goes, have you ever seen a Steinberger decay or warp? Don't think so. Very similar materials and construction process. Vibracell is not subject to changes in humidity like wood is so it is much more stable than wood.

I saw some of the new models at the NAMM Show in California in January and they look fantastic. The new Stealth looks like a PRS singlecut with a deep carve on the top and a matte finish - very nice. Super fast neck.

cool idea. there is someone out there that makes cellos out of carbon fiber. I thought that was interesting, but plastic solidbodies? Where would your tone come from? Aside from the active pickups and perfered amp. I would think that it would sound rather sterile, no?

The only dealer I have in the area at the moment is Rogers Music Centre on Rogers Rd. in Weston.

My friend Mike McAvan, who is one of the sales associates at The 12th Fret owns two Innovo Signatures.

I have samples that you are welcome to try.
