View Full Version : Anybody go to Zeller's today?

On the front page of our local Zeller's flyer they were advertising a one-timer (exclusive to Zeller's-only 5000 made) on a Paul Stanley-designed and autographed electric for $299. I went to have a look after work, not that I need another guitar or even want one of these, but it was a pretty interesting looking guitar in the flyer, and curiosity got the best of me. The thing is, they didn't get any in-they were just ordering by rain-checks, so I didn't get to see one anyway. Anybody else interested enough to take a look today?

I think there has already been two threads on this. But hey, if some parent buys their guitar this axe and only one keeps playing,... hey, it was worth it.

Hah. Did you catch the 'hand-signed' part of it? I believe he has a signature distortion pedal too.

There were actually a pair of them in Home Outfitters when I was through there today. Must be something they've got through their entire line of companies.

I just happened to be in Zellers on Saturday but no guitars in sight so I guess they sold out. One of the girls that works there all made up in Paul Stanley makeup.

Saw two listed on eBay as high as $2,000. I wonder if anytone will actually pay more than $500?

I noticed around 7 of them on there. Anywhere from $500 to $2000. None have sold. I am sure the original 5000 have not sold yet. You can order them from Zellers online store as well.

No one is going to pay even close to that much for one of those.............

I can't really see these as being anything special, not really a collector's item as 5000 is a lot of guitars floating around out there.

I can't say I dig the look at all.

I wonder how they feel? I can only assume they're shite guitars.

If you looked inside that flyer, they also had Paul Stanley guitar picks, strings, and a distortion pedal hah.

man..these things are hugly as hell. iT's just another marketing project from Kiss, you just need to watch Gene Simmons's show to see those guys are more into money then music..ahaha. well, the show is actually cool.

Is kiss still performing?..in 2 season only one performance at the VH1 thing. he should invite the band on an episode to see Eric and Paul as they are in a day to day thing..:)

There's one in Ottawa for $1000 too.

I got one for my step dad for Christmas. Guitar player, formerly Paul Stanley in a KISS tribute band... tell me this wasn't the perfect gift!

THis is an old post but, the Kingston Zellers still has 5 of those guitars.. A friend of mine bought one , he is a big fan.. The guitars are not for me.. the set up was terrible, strings buzzing..

You never know maybe they will be worth something someday.

If it is one of three guitars to survive the next holocaust.

Just happened to be at Zellers on the West Side on Sat and they were advertising these, so I asked the guy to show me one. I wasn't 'allowed' to open the box but I could open the front cover to view it thru the plastic. Like a Barbie box.

First impression was; "it ain't a player", Why would I buy a guitar and not play it, or not even take it out of the box? Weird, I walked away.....

My buddy who is the biggest Kiss fan on earth actually bought one of them. He said it's a complete P.O.S. to play. He said everything on it is cheap, and he couldn't get it to stay in tune no matter what he did.

I believe that TDU, the hardware looked very cheap. It's a toy, the $350 feels better in my pocket.

Some a-hole has been spamming kiji and craig's list Edmonton with these things. Huge BS ad about these "custom made" guitars yada yada yada. I think they started at $1000 but have "dropped" to $750.

Stuff like this irks me. I hope this guy never sells them.

There were 5 or 6 at the Zellers at Upper James and Rymal Saturday. All in boxes, though some of the boxes had been ripped open so people could see them.

$300 plus tax for this? .... I think not.

I have seen them on ebay for 1,000.00 people trying to make a 700.00 profit..
If i was a Rock star, and was going to endorse a guitar, it would be quaility all the way. Paul Stanley dont need the money and, he should use better judgement.

I bet he bought a dozen of these and hopes to sell one at that price in order to increase the value because, you know, internet prices reflect real value, right? (note the sarcasm).

Paul Stanley's autograph is worth 50 to 100$ tops, so 1000$ for that guitar, no way.

I have played one of these guitars, and also just for interest sake, in one of the sears books they where selling a lyon guitar with effects built into it..What interest me more was it has software and u could hook it into your computer. Well i didnt get that far with it. the guitar was so terrible to play i sent it back..it was also 299.00 I dont know why Washburn is Endorsing these guitars..
I have a old Washburn Acoustic and it not that bad a guitar.
