Hey, I was wondering if i should trade my Ibanez Baby Iceman for An Ibanez S Series guitar with two humbuckers and 1 single coil (like Steve Vai)and a licenced floyd rose. The store (Encore Music Exchange) owner said that the 2 guitars are the same value but said how much of a hassle floyd roses are. I watche my neighbour change a string on a floyd rose and it looked easy. I play alot of van halen songs but dont have a guitar with a floyd rose. I need opinions.

if you need humbuckers and a floyd rose, you pretty much answered you own question, right?

hard to do a dive bomb in eruption on a fixed bridge guitar. it's hard on the neck....:rockon2:

do you think it's worth it? if the guitar you're looking to get suits your needs and the one you have now doesnt, isnt it kind of a no brainer? :P

turns out the guy didnt let me trade because the other guitar was consignment and $150 over the value of my iceman

Do you know what year and model the S series was?

Yeah the newer S series guitars have the newer ZR bridge which is way better than the bridges that came on the older S models. I believe the older ones had the Lo-TRS bridges which are known to be crappy.

the s series had the lo-trs bridge. I dont have enough money to cover the difference. Oh well
