in a les paul, is a 60s slim taper better than a 50s rounded if you have small hands or does it not matter???

You have to try them. I prefer the bigger 50's style profiles, its a feel thing. I don't find hand size is the main factor.

for me the 50s rounded feels better too, im just afraid that if i have to play chords were you have to stretch your fingers, i cant do them anymore......

anyne know the thicknesses for a 50s and 60s les paul neck??

to me, the smaller less tick 60's is perfect, and i have very long finguers. my friend who as real small hands could'nt play the 50's neck, so he also went for the 60's neck, but as mentionned a LP can NOT be bought online, it needs to be played and felt, there's no 2 giutars alike.

It's all up to you. There is no neck carve for a specific hand size. Go to any L&M. They will have a variety of LP's to try.
