Ok, here's why, before this year, my guitars were a 82 squier totaly rebuilt with Humbucker at the bridge, a LP, so again, Humbucker at the bridge. i bought 4 strat this year, and i just wonder how i could have not bought those before, they are just to cool...BUT, one thing about the strat, it sounds good clean, but not so good for metal kinda sound. SO, i orded a Seymour Duncan HOT RAILS Shr-1, MAN, those thing SCEAM.

SO, the story here kids...want metal sound with the strat feel....HOT RAILS...

i'm ordering 2 others for the other strats, but will leave the AV62 one alone doh..:)

My Strat's sound pretty decent for metal (when I mess around with that). I just boost the output a bit and of course have a distortion pedal. I'm sure it could sound better.

Yeah my Strat is pretty good for metal as well. All you have to do is raise the output, lower treble a bit, put it on the mid pick up or on the mid and bridge pick up, and of course have a distortion pedal.

The Hot Rails and JB Jr.'s in my Maiden Strat are absolutely perfect for metal.

The Vintage Noiseless in my other one? Not so much. But still, useable.

Strats can do anything.
