Hi fellows
I got this beautifull Sheraton II in 2001, brand new.
Instead of the Epiphone logo on the head, it reads Gibson
It has 2 humbucker pick ups, Gibson also, I assume
Any idea of the kind of the pick ups mounted on my unit? Are these P-90?
Is Alnico a possibility?
I tried to email Epi, but I'm still waiting
Regards

the pickups in that guitar are humbuckers. they arent p-90's, and I would be very, very surprised if they were anything but alnico. they are probably nameless epiphone pickups which come in most of their guitars

I think Yerffej (oh yeah...Jeffrey!) is right on the money. These are most likely the same pickups that came stock in my 2000 Epi G400. They certainly aren't the best. They're unpotted too and that makes them basically unusable with any amount of gain. I think they started putting slightly better pickups in their axes in 2002 or 2003. I don't know what's in them now since they moved production to China.
P.S. '57 Classics would kick butt in that guitar!
