I don't know too much about Carvin, other than the fact that the Cyclops combo you've mentioned weighs in at 108 pounds. I'm sure that makes it a contender for the "heaviest combo" crown. If it sounds great to your bassplayer's ears that's all that matters.

Personally, I think I'll stick to my Mesaboogie. I'm pretty happy with it. The head is 13 pounds and the cabs are 25 and 45. totally easy to handle.

I've played through that combo and I would rate it as average. Good tone, average construction quality (the knobs feel cheap), and too heavy.
