Hey everyone, in a day or so, I'll be coming across 300 dollars. I want your suggestions on some pedals I can get. I don't want boss pedals though, thats just my personal choice. I play noise rock, with the focus on noise. The current pedals I have right now are;
Whammy (2)
Digital Delay
Wah
Flanger/Phaser
Distortion (2)
Random Step Sequencer
Volume
I was thinking of picking up an EQ (danelectro), a tuner (these are cheap), and perhaps something else (maybe another delay?). My amp has spring reverb (it's a 65 watt Peavey Express 112 S) I just want stuff that will make some cool noises. I'm playing through a Epi G400 SG. So as far as guitars and amps I'm set. I just need some pedal suggestions. I don't think I would use things like a chorus or a phaser (I can get a phaser sound out of my flanger with the right tweaking).
Thanks :)

Gotta ask... what is "noise rock"?
Reverb, chorus and phaser are the others I can think of, and you've kind of knocked them out, lol. Maybe a pickup change for the guitar? Save for a tube amp? I 'dunno, just some suggestions.

violation: look up melt banana and strip out the vocals (or just substitute it for a guys voice) and you have what I play.

It's certainly interesting... lol, not my style at all. Sounds like it would give me a headache after awhile.
After listening it sounds like you've got all the effects figured out... I bet the whammy pedal comes in play a lot eh?

I actually have two, one set 2 octaves up, one set 1 or 2 octaves down. They work awesomely (is that a word?) and when combined with my delay (which by the way is set to the HOLD setting - for those reallly fast repeats, sounds like a cd skipping - i can create some crazy stuff)
It takes a bit to get used to. Most people dont like it for the "headache" factor, but after awhile it grows on you, and you become addicted to it. I would suggest you give them a few more listens, you may find you actually really like them

The Death by Audio stuff is awesome, I wouldn't mind a couple of them :)

Check out the Dr. Scientist (http://www.drscientist.ca/index2.php) stuff. The "Radical Red Reverberator" sounds like it might fit the "the focus on noise" requirement.

That Radical Red Reverberator is pretty cool. The only setting I would see myself using is the "synthy" one. Check out their sound samples to hear what I mean. I'm thinking I wouldn't mind having a synth sound to play around with. Something like the red reverberator or an EHX Micro Synth. but oh man, they are pricey.

Check out a Catalinbread Teaser Stallion (http://www.catalinbread.com/teaser.html). Insanity in a small, metal box. Or anything from Effector 13 (http://www.effector13.com/main.html). Lots of fun ways to make crazy noise with those pedals.

Yea, I thought you'd like those. :D See Moog Audio (http://www.moogaudio.com/store/products.php?id=29) for a Canadian source. $200 and up but worth every penny.

Ring mod maybe. Fuzz maybe.
has anyone suggested a Fuzz Factory yet?
The Vexters are affordable.

Well I ended up spending way more than I thought I was going to. I bought a Dano Fish and Chips EQ, the Boss chromatic tuner, the Line 6 Filter Modulator (the purple one), a bunch of new adapters, and a couple sets of strings. So, now I'm using 11 pedals in my chain and yes they all serve a purpose and I use them all haha. I think I'm done for a bit, but yeah - the next big pedal will be a synth. :)
