View Full Version : What is a HIGH QUALITY drumset I can get for under 600$?

I want it to sound good and last long. Used is an option I suppose, but I would much rather have new.

Yeah you're not ganna find anything HIGH QUALITY for under 800 bucks. And then you need to buy cymbals and such...

If you are in Edmonton then go to the Acoustic Drum Shop on Whyte (across the street from the Acoustic Music Shop). Last time I was in, I believe they had a really decent kit (lightly played) within your price range. I can't recall the brand name because I'm not a drummer...and I have a short memory.

Look into used stuff. A couple of months ago I sold a 1964 Slingerland kit for $500. It needed new heads and some hardware and cymbals though.

thanks for the link! I will have a look into those and I will also see whats up for used stuff around my area. Thanks guys!

btw, any recommendations on brands to look for/or avoid?

Keep your eye on your local Craigslist site. And negotiate.
