It's simple, install the software and give a few CPU cycles to the cause. Your machine will download a unit of work and get busy on it. When done the results get pushed back up to the main server.

btw, you can do this with a Playtation 3 too, read an article on that on some tech newsletter.

That's how I heard as well. I have my PS3 and my more powerful laptop running it.

The software has been optimized for the Cell processor and the ATI GPU so you can see in a matter of a few days the PS3 is kicking some major butt in Folding.

Too bad it isn't worth crap for playing video games.

I bet I have more cycles than the lot of you combined ;) I've been doing this for about....4 years or so, and I run 5-6 computers at all times at home :)
