Daytona 500

I am not much into Nascar, more into open wheel racing. But I watched the last part of the Daytona 500 and it was fairly good racing. Some bumping and grinding in those last 20 laps or so. Pretty tight finish as well.

I just happened to turn the tv on when they were down to the last 20+ laps as well, it was a nail biter for sure. Very entertaining.

I'm going to attend my first Nascar race in August in Montreal. I watched half of the Daytona 500 to get used to it so I won't look like a total fool when I'll be among the crowd. I'm more used to F1 racing, Nascar is a bit different but I enjoyed yesterday's race. From what I am reading here, I should have watched the second half to see some action!

Never saw a NASCAR race but I've been to Sanair for some drag racing years ago
It was a blast seeing these machines whiz by at 300 plus MPH
I highly recommend it.

I feel sorry for Mark Martin. So close. Well there's always next year for his 24th attempt, that is if he continues to race.
