Hmm. Nords. Should sound nice.
Is that your own work or is it a Warmoth kit? Either way, very nice wood.
Welcome to the forum.

Is that a maple cap or solid maple body?

Hey, nice work. I think you've done a great job. I see you use brass inserts instead of wood screws. I also do that on the guitars that I make.
Well done.

That's a nice looking piece of wood. Do you mind if I ask why you are covering it with a pickguard?
(Not trying to be critical, just wondering - so please don't take it the wrong way)

Just getting the Jazz vibe.
Thanks for the kind remarks folks. I'll keep you posted.
Still have to cut the nut, file the fret ends, solder the preamp and do the setup. Maybe by the end of the week.

I was bored so I tore my unfinished bass apart and did a little mid build mod. I had 5 coats of Stewmac's' shielding paint for the shielding and was getting acceptable readings on the meter. So I thought I would add a little more. I lined the bottom of all the cavities with .025 copper enbedded in wet conductive paint and connected them mechanically. The control plate for my pre is connected via fusable link. My tester is at work but its safe to say I'm shielded.

I know I'm slow but I got it up and running at 2 am. Needs a good setup but sounds great. Couldn't crank it in the garage but wach out tommorrow.
Lots of little things to address. Final pics will be with a good camera and sound clips hopefully.
