Fender Mustang question.

Did later 60s, early 70s Mustangs go to a contoured back and if so, when? I have been searching and there appears to be very little info out there on the Mustang.

60's Mustangs didn't to my recollection have a contour.

I had a couple of friends that had Mustangs on was red the other was red with a racing stripe.

Yeah, I think the contours started around '69, just in time for the competition model.

XIII- if you're looking for a fix-er-upper mustang I've got a '76 that's sitting here unused.

Thanks for the info guys. I found a site last night ,or rather a section of a previously visited site that I had overlooked that confirms nine's suspicions of the contour being concurrent with the '69 competition models.
