Saw it on Thurs night/Fri morning at a midnight screening.
I thought it was a good 2 and 1/2 hours of escapism entertainment. I love Johnny Depp's fey rockstar/pirate character. Really confusing sometimes but all and all for a movie based on a disneyland ride..pretty good.
My 10 year old saw it yesterday and loved it. I had some concerns about it being too scary for him. but apparently not.
Can't wait to see Keith Richards as Jonny Depp's dad in the next one.

P.S. great sea monster in this (the Kraken). Good name for the metal band too, don't ya think?

I wanted to see the advance screening, but I heard about it on thursday... I dont really get to see movies much, so Ill probably be watching it on tv, or dvd some day.

I saw it yesterday. I thought the special effects for the Flying Dutchman crew were awesome. Very entertianing/funny/exiting. Looking forward to 'Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End' next summer.
