I'm looking for a fairly cheap harmonizer pedal (trying to get away from multi effects units as I find them incredibly cumbersome, particularly for effects that only get used for a few secs at a time), and this one came up. Anyone had any experience with it?
What about some of the Digitech harmonizer units designed for vocalists? Can they be used with a guitar?

Would luv to get an Eventide rack mount, but saving up for a new car.

In theory, yes. In practice, with great difficulty.

There is a "guitar thru" on the Digitech vocal harmonizers. They work by "listening" to the chords you are playing, and then harmonizing the vocal line you are singing. It's kind of an intelligent process. It knows both the chord you are playing, and the note you are singing, (the vocal mic is also connected through the unit), and adds an intelligent harmony note based what presets you have enabled.

To get harmonized guitar, you'd need to put the chords through the unit somehow, and then have your guitar signal go through the mic input.

It's do-able, but there has to be a more elegant solution, I would hope.
