Just registered after lurking a few times in the last year.
Already a member of too many forums, but was only active on TDPRI for the last years. It must be because of my new love for Teles since a couple of years...
Anyway, I just wanted to say Hi and will keep an eye on you for now on...

Hi Gtech, welcome to the forum.
Hope you start lots of threads and post often.
I'm sure you will enjoy this forum....great bunch of folks here and some amazing gear comes up for sale and for trade.
Tell us a bit more about yourself..what types of music do you like to play, what gear do you use, what gear gives you GAS pain, etc.
Enjoy:food-smiley-004:

Salut les gars...
Here is a bit more... For the last 10-15 years, I played almost exclusively slide guitar in Blues Jams. My opening song is normally "Dust my broom".
But I had to stop playing in the last years because of a health problem, and I got interested in Teles these last years, so I built a few of them in my spare time (I had a lot...)
Now I'm ok but I am trying to get my motivation back to play again. And I want to do something different than before, and play a bit less slide.
Here are a few of my guitars

and here I am

I worked in electronics all my life, found out that I loved woodworking while building my Teles, and love to talk about guitars. Any guitar that I try gives me gas, and I already built and bought too many guitar effects for what I use.
So, I think I'll stay for a while and check about gear...

Thanks for the additional info and pics.
VERY nice gear you have there !!
Congratulations on building some of your own guitars....very impressive:food-smiley-004:
You mentioned that you worked in electronics....you might enjoy posting in some of the amp/speaker and pedal related "electronics" threads.
Have you built any tube amps?
Cheers

Thanks...
I once built a 10W tube amp that I sold when I stop using it, and later had regrets selling it. What I use now is a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe, and it's a bit too loud sometimes. I also have a 10/15W battery powered Peavy Solo for practice, but I prefer tube amps.
I considered building another tube amp but these days it costs less to buy one than to build one because of the way the new ones are built (printed circuit boards instead of hand wired, etc...). And I worked on effects for so long that I would like now to spend more time practicing instead of building.
Here is the now quiet site I started but stopped updating when my motivation left me. It can give an idea of the few things I've done.

I'll check the electronics forums for sure and will see what I can post there...
I'm always interested to know more about that.
Cheers,
Gilles

Welcome aboard Gilles! I love Telecasters. I have a Chris Fleming built no truss rod Broadcaster that would knock your socks off. :D
Also love Quebec City (me and Mrs. Sneaky honeymooned there 20 years ago).
Cheers,
Pete
