i got a sweet 70s music man 212 hd 130 that i retired a few years ago & i had the reverb chamber fixed a couple of times .broke it by just packin it around so that very fine wire on the reverb keeps breaking .. i was wondering if i can get a new reverb for that amp fairly cheap ..from the information on the net that amp was as close as leo fender could come to the twin without copywrite or patten trouble:rockon2:

a fender or hammond reverb tank should work fine for that. I put fender reverb tanks into Garnets and never had a problem. However, all reverb tanks are prone to the failure you have had. Unless the wire breaks off right at the transducer, just strip the wire back and solder it on.
Does that Musicman of yours have the 12ax7 for the phase invertor? Interesting amps, a friend of mine plays a HD150.

I just bought a late 70's Music Man 212HD One Thirty... mint... all origional... got it out of California.
All SS preamp and phase inverter.

I hear that the 212 HD with the one 12AX7 is the one not to have... has some inherant problems at high output... hence the design change.
The one 12AX7 is for the phase inverter the preamp is still all SS.
So what do you know that I dont? Or is it a matter of a certain vintage from a collectable or value point of view?
Here is a link you may find useful... this is a very well run and informative site.
