Vintage G12 Celestion Speaker - Help, Please!

Hi everybody,

I was given a fantastic vintage G12 Celestion Speaker in mint condition. I don't know anything about this speaker. The serial number is T1070. It's gold and there is absolutely no dents or scratchs on it. I would like to have more infos on this serie, the approximate manufacturing date, and it's value. Any idea on it's sound? I've joined some pictures!

Just google the make and model. You'll be sure to come up with some reviews of that speaker.That will give you an idea of how it should sound. Maybe you'll find a sound clip.

Celestion has an inquiries line on their web site - ask dr decibel or something - and they're pretty good at answering questions about their products, even old ones.
