This is a photoshopped version of the Gibson LP I would like to have. Problem is, they don't make it.

Think of all the money you saved. Of course there is a custom build

Can't anybody just call Gibson and pay a ton of cash and get a custom build like you want?

Then of course there's this little beauty:

This is a Les Paul Double Cutaway that is sold only through MF, GC and M123 in the US. Except it has 2V/1T. 22 frets. I just moved the 3-way and cloned a tone pot where the 3-way was.
A 339 is very high on my wish list though. (emphasis on wish)

Get a Hamer.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. They make some very nice stuff and there's lots of options in the LP doublecut vein.

+1 to the Hamer. Or you could talk to Brian Monty (http://www.brianmonty.com/). He makes absolutely stellar Gibson-type guitars. I was looking at one of this LPS' before I landed that mid-90's Gibson one I had.

This is what I want. Gibson did make some one but I can't find pics of one.

Get a Hamer.
Already got one with P90s.
Except I have to get it routed for an additional tone pot. I do not like the 2V/1T layout on any guitar. I much prefer to preset tones and vary the volume. I'm even considering converting it to 1V/2T. Give me 2V/2T or secondly 1V/1T.

That could be a cool little guitar. Do you think that maybe the toggle is in a bad spot though?

The day I can afford what I want I'll get one or have one built. That and a DG335 or an original Trini Lopez.

I just love the simplicity of it. But I have a thing against dropping a grand on a guitar - new or otherwise. Ah, well - plenty of great gear available for under that figure, especially used gear.
Love those Trinis too, though. Great lookers.
