International shipping of a Guitar...who do you use?

Anybody here ever ship a guitar outside of North America? If so, who did you use?

DHL. I use them for most off-continent shipping.

canada post has worked for me. DHL have the best international reputation AFAIK for shipping companies.

I`ve sent used guitars from Japan to Canada, USA and Europe. Never had any problems, no damage nor extra charges to North America...Europeans pay depending on the country. Takes a week door to door to Montreal and I always insure. Works for me.

I can attest to that. I bought a nice CiJ Tele from Pete and it arrived in perfect shape via Canada Post. Had to pay a little extra on top though. I think about $60 bucks. But that's expected these days when I import stuff.

It was the other way. Pete was sending the guitar to me. And it was what? I think about $120 bucks and it was here in under 7 days. Pete -- that sound right to you? Now he shipped me a Tele so it conveniently could be dis-assembled for packing and shipping.

yeah it was around that last time, been a while though...usually when I send guitars home I write em up as gifts and the names match, wonder if you paid more because the names weren`t the same...who knows, but I`ve sent several home with no additional charges.

I use Canada Post for all my shipping. Anything I've shipped overseas went Xpresspost International which is usually 7 business days guaranteed delivery.
