Frank Marino in Toronto!

Just got my tickets for Frank Marino at the Sound Academy in Toronto on Aug 12. Really excited for this one. $20 a ticket!! What a deal! I've never heard of the club though, anyone ever been there?? He's being supported by Tony Springer too, who is probably the most talented guitarist i've ever seen live. I've jammed a couple times with him too, just an amazingly cool guy. This one is a must-see for any fans of either guitarist

Sound Academy used to be known as The Docks. I've always found Frank Marino, (and I've seen him more than a handful of times), too freakin' loud. Hearing-protection-required-to-avoid-pain-let-alone-hearing-loss too loud. Perhaps I'm more sensitive to loud than others, (and there is apparently evidence to demonstrate that people have different sensitivities), but for me Marino always crossed the line into too loud over-compressed mush.

I saw him in TO in 87.He wasn't loud at all,and I was front and center.Wish he'd come out west.
