After seeing this at Steve's. And a week of dilly-dallying, I was unable to resist the urge, so I figured since I'm in a new band, it's time to get me a new guitar. Different music, different gear. Here is my new Ibanez PM35.

Nice guitar - congrats. The fingerboard inlays look great. I guess this guitar is for a jazz gig?
Do you have 2 of the PRS SEs with P90s? It looks like you have 2 which are exactly the same?

I wish... hahaha Yeah its a Super '58 same as the pups on the red one beside it.

Not really a jazz gig, more like an r&b/blues kinda thing. I'm playing mostly rhythm and we have a saxophone player doing most of the soloing.
I actually have 3 of those SE's, I have a sunburst and 2 red ones, one of which is a singlecut from before Gibson sued PRS.
Thanks guys!!

That's a real beauty. I'd love to have a jazz box but it's pretty lo on my list of priorities in terms of practicality.
Still, it would be a nice indulgence.
Congrats.
Very nice. Love the look of that one..........Congrats!!!!!

I love it...I recently got the AG85 in red burl. I quite like the finish on yours and I think I like it much better than the finish on this red burl one. Great inexpensive guitars that's for sure.

Thanks guys! I love the guitar and can't wait to try it out today during rehearsal.
JFK911, the band's called Mo Sayk. We just started playing together last month and still working on our music. BTW, great music on your myspace. Hope to catch you at some point.
Now if only I can sound like anywhere close to Pat Metheny...

Nice guitar--I've been looking at some of the Ibanez archtops--some of them feel cheap, but some play quite nicely.
And smorgdonkey, what's the difference between the AG85 and what Ibanez currently has--the AG95? Both are bubinga, but the AG85 isn't offered anymore.
I tried an AFS75 TD last night--I really liked the feel and the sound, although it sure is a tacky looking thing. I could still go for it possibly.

Hey zontar...I don't know what the differences between the two are. I certainly am not a hollow expert nor am I an Ibanez expert. It seems like a decent guitar though and I got it for $325 then changed a $30ish bridge piece...so I guess I'm still 'ahead' $200 since it is in NEW condition.

Chito thats one beautiful guitar. That should give you some really nice tones man which will be a different sounding addition to the tone lab you've got happening there.
Good on ya.

I have an AF-105 and these are excellent guitars for the money. You'll have no regrets.
