Here's something else to GAS over. They look a bit like a Les Paul but with a shorter horn. http://www.12fret.com/new/Larrivee_RS-4_Solidbody_Electric_Guitar_pg.html#Larrivee%20RS-4%20Charcoal Make sure you scroll up to see the other finish.

I noodled on one for a bit, but I found it awkward to play above the 15th fret, even more so than a Les Paul. I'm a double cut sort of guy.

I love larrivee Electrics i have two from the late 80's and early 90's... for whatever reason these are not appealing to me on a cosmetic level... I'm sure they are great instruments though.

The other thing for me is I'm not much for the basic Les Paul design... as was mentioned above... I to am more of a double cut, V, or SG ( I know SG's are double cuts i was reffering to Les Paul DC ) guy.

I played one of these the other day - they're quality built (actually, they're built down the street from my house) with excellent hardware - I remember it was quite heavy. I think L&M had them going for $1400-$1500 or so... I'm not sold on the appearance so much, but it was quality for sure.

i know they are good quality instrument, but trying to re-invent a LP's body style might not be the best idea, it kind looks like the inbreed child of rednecks..hehe..

I looks like a PRS single cut.

I'll stick with my goldtop LP.
