Is anybody attending the second week of the Guitar Workshop Plus in Toronto? It starts this weekend and I can't wait! Had a great time last year and learned a lot!
Taking bass this time around. It should be fun and interesting.

I guess I was the only one from here to go! It was a great week. Got to meet Billy Sheehan (since I took the bass class) and saw Paul Gilbert and Sue Foley. Learned a lot and had fun! I'd recommend it to anyone.

I took it a few years ago, Robbin Ford was the guest and did a show. It is a bit pricey but a really good time when you are there. You live and breath music for the whole week. They do a good job with the classes, teachers and general accomodations. Besides that you get to meet some really good people who share a common interest.

This is first year I haven't been in the last 5 years. Enjoyed it immensely, but last year was just the same old thing and the young kids started getting to me also... I must be getting old:smile:

What class did you take last year? I was in Rock 1 and the only one in the room other than the teacher over 16! (waaay over 16!) so I know what you mean. I hung out with mostly the blues players as they were closer to my age. The younguns can get pretty exuberant at times but they're basically good kids for the most part. That said I chose bass this year and was hoping to be with a more mature crowd. Not as much "noodling" in class this time!
Still from a learning standpoint it's helped me a lot. I can see it getting old after a few years though, especially once your playing abilities get to a certain level and your improvment increments are much smaller. (I'm not there yet!)
