View Full Version : Got thinkin'about my old '62 Fender Super

and wondered if anyone else ever owned/used one, and, if so, what newer amps come close to duplicating the performance and sound? I loved the fact that after it was turned up past about 6 all you had to do to go from clean to full out raunch was turn the guitar up: of course the guitar was a '74 Les Paul '55 reissue with two P-90s. I'd love to be able to get back to that simple type of set up with maybe a wah and chorus on the pedal board.

I think he's lamenting for his old amp. Trying to get the sound of his old amp. Hmm buy a super? Yea they are heavy.

I had one that somebody chopped down into a head... sweet sweet tone though!
Very buttery and that vibrato was (((super))) wet!
