Hockey Night Anthem submission...take a listen!

I did the best i could with virtual instruments...they dont really have a human feel so the best i can do is punch in the notes and keep it in time.

I wrote this on guitar however I didnt record any guitar on this anthem...its mostly brass and strings.

Never wrote an anthem before so this was interesting.

Im actually still working on improving the first half of the main riff/hook between the 34-41 second mark...needs to be more catchy...Im still trying to improve 7 seconds of this thing.

I also placed an ending after the 50 second mark so keep listening after the 50 second mark.

That sort of keeps in the tradition of the old HNIC theme. I'd like to hear it arranged for a Big Band.

Yeah i tried to find something that would fit with the HNIC tradition...wasnt easy to do...I would aslo like to see someone arrange it better than i can...its a bit out of my league however I tried.

I really don't care what CBC selects for the new anthem. I do think this new one is so familiar when compared to the old one that it isn't effective. I think a brand new sound would be more refreshing. As an aside, I was on a cruise ship and the band played the HNIC theme during the intro to the night's entertainment. That came as a bit of a surprise.
