Great guitar tone...Rob Thomas sounded like he never heard the song before. Just seemed out of place, nothing original to add, nor a good tribute to the original either.
Luv the guitar tone though.

Wow. That was terrible. What was that, some kind of MTV awards ceremony or something? Reminds me of thsoe TV variety shows they have on new years day in Japan...that singer was just so inappropriate. Nice lapslide playing though, but the whole thing was too slick...

Personally, I couldn't care less who the singer is. The point of the video is to showcase Robert Randolph's playing style which is not "lapslide".

It might not be the best example of his playing but most of the other examples on youtube are camera phone quality.

He's got a pretty good voice on him too--would've preferred to hear him rather than that other guy.
("lapslide" = tired fingers typing at 4am ;)
Still hate those big incestuous MTV type shows though.
