For those who have TVO, I just saw a commerical for a Django documentary that's on tonight at 10:30PM EST:

What are your comments?

I enjoyed it and found it very interesting. Django is now much less of a mystery to me. I was amazed at the global following that has developed, especially in Japan...very cool

I caught the last 20 minutes or so. I enjoyed it but I found the host really annoying - really condescending to most of the people that he interviewed.

I'm still amazed that Django could play the way he did with the damage he had to his left hand - when you see the footage of him, its pretty amazing.

I agree, the host seemed to be trying hard to fill the role and blew it constantly...IMHO...especially as the documentary progressed.

Yes, Django was amazing !! I was also surprised as to how well the left side of his face appeared to have healed so well through time, given the degree and extent of scarring in the picture taken shortly after he suffered the burns.

i watched it too, i enjoyed it. didnt really hear any new information i hadnt read before, but it was cool anyway. interesting how those guys were forcing themselves to use only the 2 fingers django did to get a better grip on his style, and there was good music throughout.:smile:
