I am listening to this CD, which I got from the library this morning. It has 14 Robert Johnson classics, as interpreted by Eric Clapton.

I am in blues heaven! This is my favorite music!!

I love his tone on that album but I only enjoy about half of the songs. The one album I really enjoy is From The Cradle.

If you like the Me & Mr Johnson album you may want to check out the DVD - it includes a CD with some other songs that didn't make it on the M&MJ album...Sweet Home Chicago etc...

Yup I agree for sure. I've got both the CD & DVD, some good old blues on there. I think it's even done on location where Mr Johnson hung out.
Billy Preston on piano too. How can you lose? :food-smiley-004:

That record, along maybe with the one he did with BB King, are my favourite Clapton since Cream.
If you like that one though, have a listen to Peter Green's Robert Johnson Songbook...it's pretty awesome too.

I have the Robert Johnson songbook as well. Uhm...I never heard of Peter Green until this past year (no I haven't been living under a rock). I've since bought quite a few of his CD's since being introduced to his music, sticking mostly to early Fleetwood Mac.

EC's Riding with the King is another one of my favourite albums.
