Banjo Lessons

I was sitting around a camp site this weekend playing my accoustic 6 string guitar and my buddy who has been 'learning' to play the banjo for about a year and a half pulled out his banjo. He was brutal. He was been trying to teach himself out of a book but really has no music background. I told him he needs to take some lessons so that he can at least get some basics, like timing and rhythm. Apparently he cannot find a banjo teacher. He lives in London Ontario. Does anyone have any recommendations for instructors?
