Guthrie Govan Clinic at Cosmo Music

I don't know if you guys have heard, but Guthrie Govan is going to be in the Toronto area for a clinic this Monday, June 30th.
I believe this is the first time he's ever visited the Toronto area!
I got my ticket this afternoon and I just can't wait!
Just getting the word out.
Over the last year, he has become one of my absolute favourite players.

Back in 2001 I was having some discusiion with Paul Cornford... creater/builder of Cornford amps. As a result he sent me a Cornford pocket knife and the Cornford Amp Odessy 2001 CD. Guthrie ampnst some others are on that CD all recordings are with Paul's amps... That was my introduction to Guthrie. He is incredible no doubt a must clinic to see... there were several excellent players on that cd... truthfully Guthrie was a standout but there was another guy that stood out more to me and he went on to become well know for his work with a UK magazine.

If you are anywhere near Cosmo, you must go see Guthrie!!!! The only thing better than Guthrie is Guthrie playing with his brother Seth and Pete the Feet (insane UK session drummer and Guthrie's bandmate).

Guthrie is a master teacher as well, so you'll be sure to get a few new tricks to practice as well.

I'm not sure I'd want to listen to a CD of GG's playing, but I'd love to see him live. I don't really like to listen to shred, but watching it is a whole different story. Mindblowing.
