What a "lame-ass, girly man" amp!

In the 70's, Traynor had an ad on television (Ch 79, later moved to 57 to become CITY TV) where they tossed a head off the roof of a building!

After replacing a tube or two that had broken from the fall they plugged in a guitar and the amp wailed perfectly!

So this guy drops a Bogner from nipple height - big deal!

I've seen an Amp Rack worth over $15 grand roll off a loading dock once. Luckily, it was on the out and not the in - in any case it wasn't pretty.

Nope. Never owned a Bogner, and so far my Traynors have been lucky.

My Godin Acoustibass took a tumble from a second floor fire escape once, in its case. The same bass did a face-plant on a concrete stage. My Tele Deluxe was hit by falling stage lights and flew across a legion hall, landing on its headstock. My Beneteau 12 string was stepped on because some moron put it on the floor and took my stand.

War wounds, all.

Peace, Mooh.

Drop a $2,800 amp? I'm not even sure that I'd drop $2,800 ON an amp

Dropped about $3,200 on my Dr Z Stangray but that was including the cabinet as well. I can't ever see my dropping it on purpose to test its durability. I have some NOS tubes in their. I can't see that being good for them even if the rest of the amp fares well.

Kind of a dumb video , it didn't prove anything and he should have hooked and fired it up to show it still worked like the old Timex watch commercials . Could have been no chassis in it for all we know with a dummy control panal .

here's the backstory behind that video (i'm assuming its the one where he's throwing an uberschall around his garage/driveway):

he had ordered it from bogner, and the circuit board was pooched. there was no repairing it. so bogner was sending him a brand new one and told him to keep the broken one.

Doesn't seem like a valid reason for throwing it around. He could have sold the cab for a couple hundred bucks.

You're comparing a Holy Grail to a '70's vintage bag of hammers?
